5 Marketing Tips for the Holidays!

The holidays are just around the corner (even if it’s only October 👀), but don’t get into relaxation and party mode yet! Put down the eggnog you’re thinking of, roll up your sleeves, and get ready to kick off the holidays in a memorable and meaningful way.

Putting together a plan early—think set it and forget it (like a crockpot for marketing)—will let you make the most of this holiday marketing season. The added benefit? Giving you and your team the time and space to enjoy it!

So, let’s get started. Here are five marketing tips to jumpstart your holiday season!

1. Start simple! Change your packaging 🎁

Do you have a product that has packaging? Swap out your standard packaging for something more fun this holiday season. The small touches make a difference, whether that means red and green wrapping paper or a special holiday card tucked inside.

Don’t sell a physical product? Consider making a “Holiday Package” with your services! Can you package two services together and run a holiday season special?

2. Get in the giving spirit ☺️

We often think of the holiday season as the “Season of Giving.” For your business, this could mean anything from donating to a local nonprofit, volunteering with a local organization, or even doing a social media holiday giveaway to your followers.

Show your community and clients that you genuinely care.

3. Do something special for your clients 💌

Do you know the warm-fuzzy feeling you get inside when you get that hand-addressed letter in the mail? Give that feeling to your clients! This year, send out a custom holiday card to your clients to express your gratitude for them.

4. Recognize your team 🤝

Don’t forget about the team behind your magix! Think about how you can honor them this holiday season. Maybe you could give them a couple of extra days off? Or treat each of them to a thoughtful, personalized gift–something you know they enjoy. Another possibility is a Friday off with a $150 gift card for personal care.

Perhaps you would love to host a complimentary lunch or dinner for the whole team, followed by an experience like a play, sporting event, or something similar. This can give everyone a shared experience they will talk about long after the holidays are over.

5. Share your Holiday cheer 🎊

It doesn’t have to be time-consuming to share your holiday cheer! Consider asking the office to submit their favorite holiday cookie recipe and then share them on social media or via email with your clients. You could also do team spotlights and have employees share their favorite holiday memories or traditions.

There are many ways to “Holiday-ify” your business this year. We hope you can utilize some of these ideas within your business, and if you need help, JJR is always one phone call, text, or email away!

Happy soon-to-be Holidays!
