THE CHALLENGE:
Apex CPAs & Consultants is a full service accounting firm with an innovative approach. We had been approached by them to help with their public relations initiatives, but it was not only recently that they decided to move forward. The goal was very clear: secure media placements in both local and trade publications that allow Apex to be recognized as a thought leader in the industry and secure more business. Our first task was to create a strategic plan that allowed us to review and assess the current assets and define what the next steps were. Then, define the opportunities to secure media placements through powerful story angles that would add value to the readers and viewers of the media outlets we were pursuing. In other words, how do we create opportunities to connect Apex’s knowledge and value to the local media and trade publications in a way that they would connect with the message? That was our mission.
